When do Wimbledon ballot results come out?

Wimbledon ballot results do not land on one big results day: ticket offers go out by email in rolling waves, and for the 2027 Championships the first offers are expected from October 2026 onwards, continuing right up to the tournament. Winners get around 14 days to pay face value for one allocated pair, based on the last cycle, where offers rolled out from October 2025.

That rolling pattern is the single most misunderstood thing about the ballot. Every autumn, applicants who have heard nothing assume they have lost. Many of them later get an offer in winter or spring, because tickets keep being returned and reallocated until the Championships begin.

How Wimbledon ballot results actually work

If your application is drawn, the AELTC emails you a ticket offer: one pair of day tickets, allocated automatically to Centre Court or Courts 1 to 3. You do not choose the day or the court. The email tells you what you have been offered and how to pay, and on the last cycle's pattern you have around 14 days to complete payment at face value before the offer lapses.

The AELTC's own help centre puts it plainly for the current cycle: successful applicants are notified by email, with details of the ticket offer and payment instructions, from October onwards. There is no published schedule of waves and no public list of winners.

The expected 2027 timeline

Exact 2027 dates are not confirmed yet, so treat this as the expected shape based on the 2026 cycle, which the AELTC ran from 2 to 21 September 2025 with offers from October 2025:

  • Early September 2026 (expected): the public ballot opens for around three weeks. Our Wimbledon 2027 guide covers how to enter.
  • October 2026 onwards (expected): the first offer emails go out.
  • Winter and spring 2027: offers keep rolling as returns free up.
  • June to July 2027: last reallocations before the Championships (28 June to 11 July 2027).

We track the confirmed dates on the public ballot record and update it when the AELTC publishes specifics.

No email yet: what silence means

Silence is not a rejection until the Championships arrive. Offers roll for months, so an empty inbox in November still leaves a live chance. Three practical things: make sure the email address on your myWimbledon account is one you actually read, check spam for anything from Wimbledon, and be patient with the process rather than chasing it. The AELTC does not respond to individual status requests with anything beyond the standard guidance.

Watch out for one trap: any "you have won the Wimbledon ballot" message that asks you to pay anywhere other than through your own myWimbledon account and official payment flow is a scam. Real offers route through the account you applied with.

If you are unsuccessful

Missing the draw is not the end of the road, and ballot entrants actually get a route others do not: access to returns and resale ticket opportunities ahead of the event. Beyond that, The Queue remains the famous free on-the-day route, and debentures remain the expensive but legitimate paid one. Our guide on what to do after missing a ballot walks through all of it in order.

The 1 in 10 odds figure you see quoted for the public ballot comes from press guides, not the AELTC, which publishes no official number. Either way, most applicants will not be drawn in any given year, which is exactly why the returns, resale and Queue routes matter.

LTA Advantage ballot results

The LTA's members ballot runs on its own clock. The 2027 opt-in window closes on 31 August 2026, and winners are drawn and emailed in the months that follow, through to the Championships. Unlike the public ballot, successful LTA members choose from the available dates and courts when their turn comes, then buy one pair at face value. Full dates and eligibility live on the LTA ballot record.

Quick answers

When do Wimbledon ballot results come out?

There is no single results day. Ticket offers go out by email in rolling waves, starting around October the year before the Championships and continuing right up to the tournament. For Wimbledon 2027, expect the first offers from October 2026 onwards, assuming the ballot runs on its usual September window.

How will I be told if I have won the ballot?

By email to the address on your myWimbledon account. The AELTC's help centre says successful applicants are notified with details of their ticket offer and instructions on how to pay. On the last cycle's pattern you then have around 14 days to pay face value, or the offer lapses.

I have had no email yet. Have I lost?

Not necessarily. Offers keep rolling out from October until the Championships as returned and reallocated tickets free up, so silence in the autumn is not a rejection. You have only definitively missed out once the tournament arrives without an offer.

Do unsuccessful applicants get anything?

Yes. Ballot entrants who are not drawn get access to returns and resale ticket opportunities before the event, on top of the routes open to everyone: The Queue on the day, and the paid debenture market.

When are LTA Advantage Wimbledon ballot results announced?

The LTA ballot is also rolling: winners are drawn and emailed in the months after the opt-in closes on 31 August 2026, through to the Championships. Successful members choose from available dates and courts and buy one pair at face value.

Can I check my ballot status online?

Your myWimbledon account is the place to look, and the AELTC directs all ballot communications through it. But the offer itself arrives by email, so keep the inbox on your registered address monitored, and check spam.
