How do I get LA28 Olympic tickets?
The official route to 2028 Los Angeles Olympic tickets is the free LA28 Ticket Draw, and registration for the next two draws (the Visa Presale and Drop 2) closes on 22 July 2026 (23:59 PT). Registering is free and open to fans worldwide aged 18 or over, and a single registration enters you into both draws.

Registration for both the Visa Presale draw and Drop 2 closes on 22 July 2026 (23:59 PT). The two draws then run on their own timelines from that single registration:
- Visa Presale draw: time-slot notifications go out on 27 July 2026, and the presale purchase window runs 29 to 31 July 2026.
- Drop 2: notifications go out on 6 to 7 August 2026, with purchase time slots running 10 to 20 August 2026.
The Games themselves run 14 to 30 July 2028 in Los Angeles.
What does it cost, and who can enter?
Registering is free. The official terms are explicit: no purchase or payment is required to register, enter or win a time slot. It is open to fans worldwide, subject to applicable law, but you must be at least 18 at the time of registration, and people in US-sanctioned jurisdictions are excluded. It is one registration per person, and that single registration covers all current and future LA28 draws, including the Paralympic draws in 2027.
What is the Visa Presale, and do I need a Visa card?
The Visa Presale is simply an earlier draw for a purchase slot. To opt in, you certify that you hold a qualifying Visa card (held as of 1 June 2026), and Visa is the only payment method accepted during the presale window. Drop 2 has no card requirement, so if you do not have a Visa card you can still enter that one. Winning either draw only grants a time slot to attempt a purchase; it does not guarantee tickets to a specific session. One more catch worth knowing: if you receive a Visa Presale slot, you are not eligible for a Drop 2 slot.
How do I register?
- Create an LA28 ID (or sign in) at tickets.la28.org.
- Register for the LA28 Ticket Draw before 22 July 2026 (23:59 PT).
- Check the Visa cardholder box during registration if you want to be in the Visa Presale too.
- If selected, you get an emailed time slot to buy tickets during that draw's window.
Already registered for Drop 1 earlier this year? You are automatically entered into the Drop 2 draw, so you only need to act if you want to opt into the Visa Presale.
What are my odds, and how much are tickets?
More than 5 million fans from 197 countries and territories have registered since January 2026, and over 4 million tickets were already sold in the first phase, so a slot is not guaranteed. Odds depend on the number of registrants against available time slots, and a slot still does not guarantee inventory for the exact session you want. On price, tickets start at 28 US dollars with many sessions under 100, while premium sessions and ceremonies cost substantially more. Ticket limits run up to 12 Olympic tickets plus up to 12 football (soccer) tickets, with a maximum of 4 per ceremony.
