Where it stands

As of 7 Jul 2026

Not yet open as of 2026-07-07; lords.org homepage and tickets page (checked live) carry no 2027 ballot announcement yet. Precedent: the 2026-cycle Lord's ballot opened mid-October 2025 with results notified before 4 December 2025 and general sale from 11 December 2025; the 2025-cycle ballot opened early November 2024; 2024-cycle ballots had closed by 9 October 2023. Expect the 2027 Ashes ballot around October-November 2026 with results by early December

How to enter

When it opens (expected autumn 2026): create a Lord's account and enter the Lord's Public Ticket Ballot at tickets.lords.org, picking the match days you want (the 2026 cycle was an 'open ballot' where entrants simply picked the days they wanted to attend). Note the separate ECB/county international ballot covers the other 2027 Ashes venues, not Lord's, which runs its own ballot. Sign up to Lord's emails for the opening announcement

Your odds

Lord's Ashes days are among the most oversubscribed tickets in UK sport. Even the non-Ashes 2026 cycle drew a record 140,000 unique applicants and over 1 million ticket applications, and Lord's said of the non-Ashes 2024 cycle that 'a number of match days were oversubscribed'. Unsuccessful entrants can try the later general sale for remaining tickets

Good to know

Lord's 2027 Ashes Test confirmed by ECB on 14 June 2023 (five Tests: Lord's, The Kia Oval, Edgbaston, Trent Bridge, Ageas Bowl). Lord's is also scheduled to host the ICC World Test Championship Final in June 2027, which in 2025 was ticketed by the ICC via general sale rather than the Lord's ballot: watch for two separate processes that summer. All 2027 ballot dates are estimates from prior cycles
