Re-read on 31 Aug 2026, the ICC ticket portal now lists an 'ICC Cricket World Cup, 2027' section, but it holds updates and content plus a general register-your-interest link rather than any ticket phase; it first appeared some time after the 7 Jul 2026 check, when the portal carried only 2025 and 2026 events. The ICC Cricket World Cup tournament page and ICC news still carry no 2027 ticketing content.

Cricket South Africa's CWC 2027 tag page has no World Cup ticket news (CSA is separately selling its own 2026/27 international home-season tickets, which is unrelated).

Sale mechanism unknown. Precedent: CWC 2023 (India) used phased first-come public sales with no ballot; CWC 2019 (England) used a public ballot; most recently the ICC ran a public ballot for the Women's T20 World Cup 2026 in England (applications 30 Jul - 13 Aug 2025 via tickets.icc-cricket.com), so a ballot for high-demand 2027 matches (e.g. the Wanderers final) is plausible but unconfirmed

Tournament dates and host cities are confirmed (4 Oct - 21 Nov 2027; South Africa hosts 44 matches across eight venues, Zimbabwe and Namibia the remaining 10). ICC-appointed travel agents and third-party sites advertise hospitality/travel packages 'from early 2026' and claim tiered ticket sales 'from January 2027', but none of this is confirmed by ICC.

Based on past ICC lead times (e.g. Women's T20 WC 2026 ballot opened about 11 months out), expect official ticketing announcements in late 2026 or 2027
