The venue and dates are now confirmed: the ICC announced on 23 Jul 2026 that the 2027 World Test Championship Final moves to The Kia Oval, 9 to 13 June 2027, ending the earlier doubt over Lord's after the ground's pitch demerit. Public ticketing has not been announced yet; the Kia Oval says more will be shared with Surrey Members in due course.

England remains the confirmed host nation for the 2027, 2029 and 2031 finals from the ICC's July 2025 annual conference award.

How to enter

Nothing open to the general public yet. For 2025 the ICC sold tickets at worldtestchampionship.com from 31 January 2025, 10:00 GMT, with a 48-hour priority window from 29 January (verified via ICC media release); that domain now redirects to the ICC WTC hub. Expect a similar announcement given the venue and dates are now confirmed; register interest via icc-cricket.com and the Kia Oval's own mailing list (kiaoval.com). The Kia Oval's 2027 Surrey Membership (on sale since 15 Sept 2026) says more on WTC Final ticketing will be shared with Surrey Members in due course

In 2025 tickets were first-come-first-served via a timed on-sale (priority window then general sale), not balloted; high-demand days sold quickly once the finalists were known

Good to know

The venue is settled: the ICC confirmed on 23 Jul 2026 that the final moves from Lord's to The Kia Oval, 9 to 13 June 2027, after the Lord's pitch drew a demerit point following the England v New Zealand Test in June 2026.
Public ticketing has not opened. The Kia Oval says details will be shared with Surrey Members in due course; there is no general-public sale window yet.
England hosts the next three finals. The ICC awarded the 2027, 2029 and 2031 editions to England at its July 2025 annual conference without naming venues at the time, so missing 2027 is a two-year wait rather than a generational one.
