Where it stands

As of 28 Sept 2026

UEFA's Executive Committee confirmed Astana Arena, Astana as the 2028 host on 15 Sept 2026, at its meeting in Thessaloniki, Greece; the Johan Cruyff ArenA in Amsterdam was appointed for 2027.

The 2026 edition's public lottery (PSG v Aston Villa, Salzburg, played 12 Aug 2026) closed 23 Jun 2026 at 11:00 CEST, confirming the annual pattern of a free public application window in June for an August match. UEFA has not announced a ticket application window for the 2028 edition.

How to enter

Apply free at UEFA.com/tickets during the June application window (2026 window ran ~16-23 June, closing 11:00 CEST 23 June); tickets allocated by lottery, winners buy on a first-come basis within their purchase window

Your odds

2026 mirror (Stadion Salzburg, 28,500 net): 9,000 tickets to the worldwide general-public lottery, 7,000 per competing club - moderate odds, better than the UCL final draw

Good to know

Bonus record within the UEFA club-finals cluster: the Super Cup uses the same UEFA.com free-application lottery as the four club finals, with a June window about two months before the match. Host confirmed by the UEFA Executive Committee on 15 Sept 2026 in Thessaloniki, Greece: Astana Arena, Astana, Kazakhstan for 2028 (Johan Cruyff ArenA, Amsterdam for 2027); this is the first Super Cup held in Kazakhstan (uefa.com, '2027 and 2028 Super Cup venues confirmed').

Astana Arena's artificial turf is expected to be replaced with natural grass before the match. Window estimated by mirroring the confirmed 16-23 June 2026 window.
