Where it stands

As of 7 Jul 2026

Announced but not open as of 2026-07-07. Tournament schedule and brand launched 2025-11-12 across UK and Ireland (~3 million tickets confirmed); fan-first ticketing principles published 2026-02-12; prices and full sales details due autumn 2027; ballot phases start after the December 2027 final draw.

How to enter

Not yet open. Announced process: general public sales will be allocated via a ballot (application window, then draw: no queues, no first-come-first-served) on UEFA's ticketing platform. Unlike previous EUROs there will be NO pre-draw sales phase: tickets only go on sale after the final draw in December 2027, once group fixtures are known. Full details and prices due in autumn 2027. An official face-value-only UEFA resale platform will operate; resale outside it is unauthorised (Scotland has a dedicated anti-touting law, the UEFA European Championship (Scotland) Bill).

Your odds

About 3 million tickets across 51 matches, the largest EURO inventory yet; ballots for the marquee matches (opener, knockouts, Wembley final) will still be heavily oversubscribed, while group matches at larger venues should have materially better odds than any single-match UEFA final ballot.

Good to know

Verified 2026-07-07. Timeline (autumn 2027 pricing announcement, post-draw December 2027 sales start) is officially stated by UEFA; exact ballot window dates are not yet published, hence dates_estimated=true. Expected phasing based on official statements plus past EURO practice: main public ballot around December 2027-January 2028, team-specific supporter phases after the draw in early 2028, later sales and official resale into spring 2028. Ballot, face-value resale, ~3M tickets, 40%+ affordable, no dynamic pricing and 6 matches at Hampden confirmed directly on the official Scottish Government page (published 2026-01-15), since uefa.com blocks automated fetching (403/503); UEFA's 2026-02-12 principles announcement confirmed via multiple independent reports. Correction vs prior record: four host nations, not five - Northern Ireland retains only ceremonial involvement (e.g. qualifying draw in Belfast) after Casement Park was dropped, and gets no automatic qualification.
