When can you buy World Cup 2030 tickets?

Is there any way to get 2030 World Cup tickets today?

No. This is worth stating plainly because the gap between demand and supply is exactly where scams live.

FIFA's tickets hub currently lists only the FIFA Women's World Cup Brazil 2027 and the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Poland 2026. The 2030 tournament is not on it. FIFA's own announcement article confirming the hosts contains no ticketing information of any kind: not a date, not a mechanism, not a mailing list.

So there is no primary inventory, no draw to enter and no official waiting list. If you are being offered a 2030 ticket, a 2030 "package" or priority access in 2026, one of two things is true: it is a speculative travel package that does not include a match ticket anyone actually holds, or it is a scam.

When will 2030 tickets realistically go on sale?

FIFA has said nothing, so what follows is our projection from the most recent comparable cycle, and we mark it as estimated on the event page rather than presenting it as fact.

For the 2026 World Cup:

• The first ticket phase (the Visa Presale Draw) opened about 9 months before the tournament, with entries running 10 to 19 September 2025.
• Further phases followed: an Early Ticket Draw, then a Random Selection Draw, then later sales.
• Hospitality packages opened far earlier, roughly 19 months out.

Applying that shape to a tournament opening on 13 June 2030:

• First public ticket draw: around September 2029.
• Hospitality: possibly from late 2028 or 2029.

Two caveats. FIFA has expanded and reshuffled its ticketing model in each of the last two cycles, so the 2030 pattern may not copy 2026. And 2030 is structurally unusual: six countries across three continents, plus 48 teams and 104 matches, which may push FIFA toward a longer or more staged sales programme than usual.

What is actually confirmed about the 2030 World Cup?

The things that are on the record, from FIFA:

• Hosts ratified 11 December 2024 by the FIFA Congress: Spain, Portugal and Morocco, with centenary matches in Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay marking 100 years since the 1930 tournament.
• An indicative schedule, which FIFA explicitly presents as illustrative rather than final: centenary matches on 8 and 9 June 2030, opening matches on 13 and 14 June 2030, and the final on 21 July 2030.
• Format: 48 teams and 104 matches, the same expanded structure used in 2026.

What is not confirmed: host cities and stadiums in each country, the match schedule, ticket prices, the sales model, and every date connected to ticketing.

Will 2030 use a ballot or first come, first served?

Unannounced, but a draw is the likely direction. The 2026 World Cup ran its main phases as free-entry random draws rather than a first come, first served rush, and FIFA has generally moved toward draws for tournaments where demand vastly exceeds supply. A six-country, three-continent tournament is the extreme case of that.

If FIFA does repeat the draw model, the mechanics that mattered in 2026 will matter again: entering is free, entering early within the window gives you no advantage over entering late, and being drawn buys you the right to purchase rather than the tickets themselves.

What should I do now?

Realistically, very little, and that is the useful answer. There is nothing to enter and nothing to buy, so the only sensible moves are the free ones:

1. Create a free FIFA ID if you do not have one, since every FIFA ticketing phase has run through it. Doing it now costs nothing and removes a step later.
2. Watch for the host city announcement, which historically precedes ticketing and is the first real signal that the clock has started.
3. Add the event page to the calendar feed so that when dates are confirmed they reach you, rather than depending on you remembering to check in 2029.
