Where it stands

As of 3 Sept 2026

Both Fan Club rounds are closed, and there is no further Fan Club round for this tournament.

The round 2 payment deadline has also passed: winners had until 23:30 JST on 31 Jul 2026 to pay or forfeit the seats, so this record has no live action left. The free Ticket Oosumo lottery and the Ticket Pia pre-reserve lottery this record used to forward readers to have both also closed and resolved (Ticket Oosumo results from 4 Aug 2026, Ticket Pia entries 4 Aug 2026 to 08-05 with results from about 7 Aug 2026).

The general sale that followed those (opened 10:00 JST 8 Aug 2026) is also sold out: sumo.pia.jp marks it '完売御礼' with no seats left in any date or seat type. Two routes remain for this tournament: wheelchair seat reservations, open since 10:00 JST 24 Aug 2026 via the dedicated phone line (0570-02-9310) rather than through sumo.pia.jp, and sumo.pia.jp's own official face-value resale service for seats released by other buyers.

How to enter

Join a qualifying paid Fan Club course at fanclub.sumo.or.jp, then apply online during the round window; random draw; results ~18:00 JST on results day; payment deadline about 2 days later (2025 pattern: pay by 23:30 JST).

Your odds

No official odds published. This is the earliest crack at tickets (before the free Ticket Oosumo lottery), including tamari seats; higher tiers get the exclusive 1st round.

Good to know

  • Applying costs nothing, but being allowed to apply is not free. Only the paid Fan Club courses can enter a ticket lottery and the free Juryo tier cannot, so the real price of this route is the annual membership.
  • The two rounds are not the same draw. Round 1 is exclusive to the Yokozuna, Ozeki and Sekiwake courses, and only round 2 adds Komusubi and Makuuchi, so the cheaper tiers get one attempt where the top tiers get two.
  • It is a Japanese-language service throughout. Anyone may join the paid tiers from overseas, but the membership and application flow are not offered in English.
