Where it stands

As of 5 Oct 2026

The Ticket Oosumo advance lottery, this record's round, ran 11:00 JST 28 Aug 2026 to 11:00 JST 31 Aug 2026, with results from about 18:00 JST 2 Sept 2026 and the 7-Eleven payment deadline 23:30 JST 4 Sept 2026.

Two paid Fan Club rounds ran first: 11:00 JST 14 Aug 2026 to 11:00 JST 17 Aug 2026 (results about 18:00 JST 19 Aug 2026, payment by 23:30 JST 21 Aug 2026), then 11:00 JST 21 Aug 2026 to 11:00 JST 24 Aug 2026 (results about 18:00 JST 26 Aug 2026, payment by 23:30 JST 28 Aug 2026). The Ticket Pia pre-reserve lottery (a separate draw) ran 11:00 JST 4 Sept 2026 to 11:00 JST 7 Sept 2026, with results from about 18:00 JST 9 Sept 2026.

The general sale opened 10:00 JST 19 Sept 2026 and sold out: sumo.pia.jp marks it '完売御礼' (sold out), and its English page says tickets are sold out for all dates with no tickets sold on the day. The Fukuoka Kokusai Center ticket office lists no advance or same-day sales.

Two routes are left: wheelchair seats by phone on the Grand Sumo reservation line from 10:00 JST on 22 Oct 2026, with phone bookings closing two days before each match day, and sumo.pia.jp's face-value resale service. The tournament runs 8 Nov 2026 to 22 Nov 2026 at Fukuoka Kokusai Center; the banzuke (rankings) is announced 26 Oct 2026.

Good to know

• The tournament and this lottery window are both organizer-confirmed on sumo.pia.jp/sumo11.jsp and the Japan Sumo Association's own year schedule: 8 Nov 2026 to 22 Nov 2026 at Fukuoka Kokusai Center, general sale 19 Sept 2026, banzuke 26 Oct 2026.
• The free Ticket Oosumo draw is an earlier rung than the general sale, not an alternative to it. Entering costs nothing and the draw is random, and for this tournament the general sale that followed on 19 Sept 2026 sold out across every date.
• Tickets go on sale before anyone knows the card. The banzuke that decides who fights is published on 26 Oct 2026, 37 days after the general sale opens on 19 Sept 2026, so seats are chosen before the matchups exist.
• Seat types and days that sold out in the lotteries got no general sale, and the general sale that opened on 19 Sept 2026 then sold out across every date. The Fukuoka Kokusai Center ticket office lists no advance or same-day tickets, so the routes left are wheelchair seats through a separate phone line from 22 Oct 2026 and sumo.pia.jp's face-value resale service.
