Official London Marathon Events page states RideLondon 'has been placed on an indefinite pause following operational and financial considerations' after a strategic review (announcement covered in media on February 10-11, 2026) and 'will not continue in its current format'. The last edition was May 26, 2024; the 2025 event had already been cancelled. Historical context: the RideLondon 100 used a public ballot in the Surrey era (2013-2019) and the 2022-2023 Essex era, but the 2024 edition switched to first-come-first-served entry, so even before the pause there was no ballot. Any future revival could have a different format, route or organiser model; monitor londonmarathonevents.co.uk.
