## Where it stands

Lord's runs its own public ballot for the 2027 Ashes Test, on its own timetable: it opened on 2026-09-02 and closes on 2026-10-26, four weeks after the ECB's universal 2026-09-29 close. Successful first-round applicants are emailed in early November 2026 and their purchase window opens on 2026-11-17; tickets they leave unclaimed go to a second round of ballot entrants before general sale on 2026-12-10. Those dates are from Lord's own 2026-09-02 announcement, which is the ECB's 'alternative ballot dates' caveat made real, so work to Lord's dates for this Test rather than the ECB's. The same ballot covers all four 2027 internationals at Lord's: the Bangladesh Test (2027-05-28 to 2027-06-01), the Ashes Test (2027-06-30 to 2027-07-04), the Women's Ashes ODI (2027-07-16) and the New Zealand ODI (2027-09-16). The Ashes purchase limit is 2 tickets across the Test. The MCC Members' Friends' Enclosures Ballot is separate and opens at 10:00 on 2026-09-08.

## How to enter

Enter the Lord's 2027 public ticket ballot at lords.org between 2026-09-02 and 2026-10-26 with a free Lord's online account: pick the days you want to attend, with no limit on how many days you enter for, and no card details are needed to enter. Purchase limits apply if you win: 2 tickets across the whole Ashes Test (10 per day for the Bangladesh Test, 10 for the Women's Ashes ODI, 4 for the New Zealand ODI). First-round winners are emailed in early November 2026 and buy from 2026-11-17; tickets they do not claim go to a second-round ballot ahead of general sale on 2026-12-10. Lord's runs this ballot itself, on its own dates, separate from the ECB's universal window, so its 2026-10-26 close is the deadline for this Test. MCC Members enter the separate Friends' Enclosures Ballot, which opens at 10:00 on 2026-09-08.

## Your odds

Lord's Ashes days are among the most oversubscribed tickets in UK sport. Even the non-Ashes 2026 cycle drew a record 140,000 unique applicants and over 1 million ticket applications, and Lord's said of the non-Ashes 2024 cycle that 'a number of match days were oversubscribed'. Unsuccessful entrants can try the later general sale for remaining tickets

## Good to know

- Lord's ballot closes on 2026-10-26, four weeks after the ECB's universal 2026-09-29 close, and the ECB's ballot does not cover Lord's: enter Lord's own ballot for this Test.
- Two tickets across the whole Ashes Test is the purchase limit if you win, per lords.org; the Bangladesh Test allows 10 per day. There is no limit on how many days you enter for, and Lord's itself suggests friends and family enter too.
- No card details are needed to enter. First-round winners are emailed in early November 2026 and buy from 2026-11-17; a second-round ballot for unclaimed tickets runs before general sale on 2026-12-10.
- Lord's is also due to host the ICC World Test Championship Final in June 2027, which in 2025 was ticketed by the ICC through general sale rather than the Lord's ballot: two separate processes in one summer.
- Demand precedent: the 2026 non-Ashes cycle drew a record 140,000 applicants and over 1 million ticket applications, and Lord's publishes no success rate.
