## Good to know

- Applying costs nothing, but being allowed to apply is not free. Only the paid Fan Club courses can enter a ticket lottery and the free Juryo tier cannot, so the real price of this route is the annual membership.
- The two rounds are not the same draw. Round 1 is exclusive to the Yokozuna, Ozeki and Sekiwake courses, and only round 2 adds Komusubi and Makuuchi, so the cheaper tiers get one attempt where the top tiers get two.
- It is a Japanese-language service throughout. Anyone may join the paid tiers from overseas, but the membership and application flow are not offered in English.
